Hardraw

Situated in the charming Yorkshire village of Hardraw, beneath the rising fells of Great Shunner Fell, just outside of the town of Hawes, The Green Dragon Inn stands in a stunning location overlooking Upper Wensleydale.

This ancient traditional Dales Inn with flagged floors, open fires, beamed ceilings, stone walls is a privately owned free house.
The Inn has been lovingly restored ensuring it maintained it’s original features incorporating some contemporary fittings.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar.

The Green Dragon Inn is centrally located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is ideal for touring, cycling or walking, being directly on one of the most popular of all the walks – The Pennine Way.

Music at The Green Dragon Hardraw is a well-established. We pride ourselves on the range and quality of our music festivals. The venue is intimate and is located in the beautiful rural setting of The North Yorkshire Dales.
An ancient country Inn, The Green Dragon, is the home of Hardraw Force Waterfall (England`s highest unbroken single drop waterfall, set within the Inn’s grounds) in the picturesque village of Hardraw.

The music ranges from informal sing arounds in the pub to professional performances in a more formal setting. A mix of contemporary and traditional music from folk to the famous Hardraw Brass Band Contest.

Pennine Sky have been running Folk & Americana Gatherings at the Green Dragon since 2009. Some of the best known names in the Folk world have played for us including The Young’uns, Tom McConville, Bob Fox, The Doonans, Les Barker and Jez Lowe. The concerts planned for 2016 promise to be just as exciting and enjoyable as in previous years!
