Final plans for 2017!

After the disappointment of Harefield Hall withdrawing  their invitation for us to host Harefest at Easter, we are glad to announce lots of exciting plans for 2017!Firstly, during the weekend of March 24/25, there will be a picking session at the Station Inn at Ribblehead. All musicians, singers and listeners are welcome to this pub set in stunning scenery and serving real ale and pub food. It is dog friendly and camping is free! If you don’t want to camp, phone the pub and book one of their B&B rooms, or perhaps one of their newly refurbished bunk rooms….

Next on the calendar is an exciting new event during the weekend of June 2/3 at the Black Swan Inn and Camp Site at Fearby near Masham. With easy access from the A1, and yet in beautiful Wensleydale and Nidderdale countryside, Fearby Folk Gathering will offer 2 top class concerts in a marquee as well as sessions and singarounds. The first acts booked are the wonderful young trad band Pilgrim’s Way and a new band with some familiar (old) faces called The Hunch. Messrs Doonan, Thomas, Bacon & Hanks of Hedehog Pie, The Mighty Doonans, The Solicitors fame, play acoustic Irish, Folk, Americana and Blues with a strong injection of humour. This event will shortly be getting its own page on the website but in the meantime, keep an eye on Facebook, and to order tickets, email: penninesky@aol.com

Thirdly for 2017, we will be holding our 3rd Pennine Sky event at Tan Hill during w/e August 4-6th. We have an amazing lineup with a Country & Americana twist and tickets are already on sale – email penninesky@aol.com For this event, camping is free for ticket holders and musicians. Further details may be found on the Tan Hill page.
