The Duncan McFarlane Band – popular at Festivals up and down the country, about whom has been said: ‘The world can always use more good English folk-rock and this is loud, fast music, based on the rhythms of English country dance music with sharp-edged electric guitar leads, electric fiddle, and gutsy, gritty singing’ (quotes from fRoots)   www.duncanmcfarlane.co.uk

Granny’s Attic – a teenage folk trio from Worcester who have been Pennine Sky’s absolute favourites at festivals during 2014 -15. They sing and play melodeon/concertina, guitar and fiddle/mandolin. Their great skill and entertaining perfomances made them BBC Folk Award Finalists in 2014. www.grannysattic.org.uk

Sound Tradition – folk a capella group from the East of England. They say about themselves: “Along with our search for harmonies, some joyful, some reflective, Sound Tradition have steadily whetted our audiences’ curiosity for carefully arranged and vocally embroidered traditional folksongs.”… a subtle blend of innovation within a traditional sound-scape.” (Mike O’Connor) www.soundtradition.co.uk

Edwina Hayes – Nancy Griffith says Edwina has “the sweetest voice in England” and we would not argue. Edwina’s beautifully written songs, charming stage presence and voice of an angel have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folk-Americana. www.edwinahayes.com

Jimmy Aldridge and Sid Goldsmith – were the hit of Shepley Spring Festival for us and we could not wait to bring them North from their East Anglian roots. Jimmy and Sid play traditional and original folksong of the British Isles. They tell stories of hardship, joy, struggle and celebration held together with driving banjo and guitar arrangements and close vocal harmonies. www.jimmyandsid.com
